Farming in the Sky
We were awarded a contract to supply EPS foam to Sky Green Singapore - the world’s first urban, vertical, low-carbon, hydraulic, water-driven, tropical vegetable farm. The EPS foam is being used in the trays to hold the vegetables in place.

The foam was selected because of its three distinctive features:
- It is very light and does not add unnecessary load to the structures.
- White foam reflects the sunlight and this helps in the healthy growth of the vegetables.
- EPS form can be reused over and over again.
The farm system, called A-Go-Gro, is a series of aluminium towers of up to nine metres in height, each containing 38 tiers with troughs in which
vegetables are grown.
Situated at 200 Lim Chu Kang Road, the farm engages in mass production and is currently under expansion to meet growing demands. It currently produces a variety of green vegetables, popular with locals, such as xiao bai cai, kang kong, lettuce and Chinese cabbage, all of which can be harvested every 28 days.
